In 1972 Wayne Edwards founded Edwards Cleaning Service. As a supplemental income for his family, he began cleaning a friend’s small business office area in Alamance County and the business began to grow from there. Wayne owned and operated the business for 20 years until 1992 when his son Ricky Edwards took over. Both Edwards have always taken pride in a job well done, excellent customer service, and keeping things local. In 2006 Ricky changed the name of the business from Edwards Cleaning Service to Edwards Commercial Cleaning Inc.
Throughout the years the business has continued to grow while focusing on commercial cleaning jobs including offices, schools, daycares, restaurants, hair salons, factories, gymnasiums, churches and more! As the business has continued to evolve and grow, Ricky’s son Derek was named Vice President in 2015 and his other son Blake continues to be involved in the daily operations of the business as well. When asked why the business has continued to grow over the years Ricky states:
“The first thing that makes you successful is taking care of your customers.”
Today Edwards Commercial Cleaning can assist your business with any cleaning needs ranging from one time cleaning, deep cleaning to a scheduled daily or weekly routine cleaning. We specialize in vacuuming, mopping, dusting, bathrooms, disinfecting touch points and surfaces, window cleaning, stripping and waxing of floors, carpet cleaning and any janitorial services. While we’re headquartered here in Alamance County, we also service Rockingham, Orange and Guilford Counties as well.
